Not sure what you mean. I reused my old ones. All they are there for is shut-down shake reduction. So when the engine is turned off it does not rock the car so much. Keep in mind, we are talking Mercedes here. So most of us probably wont even notice the rocking if these mini-shocks were missing. One of those "features" that may be a little over-kill.
Although I will replace mine next year
