dash mounted thermistor oops

well, while working on my coverlay install, I managed to snap that little metal strip which sticks up into the plastic housing in the dash. The strip is small but I think i can solder it back together, connecting the 2 conductors I see in there. My question: is this reasonable and should it still work if done properly? Thanks, Dan

M.C. !

First (Assuming a Mercedes) What Model?

If you're saying you "Snapped" the actual Thermistor Wire and you're gonna try
and "Solder" it back together...

Good Luck!

The "Soldering" will drastically change the reaction abilities of the TM Wire.
