Window Motor

I have a window regulator and motor that broke from my 92 300D and I took it apart to see what is inside. I need to do this to both of my front windows in my 84 190D, so this was a test run. Mercedes makes some great stuff.

Make sure you clean all that dry greese out and put new in, the brushes are in good shape.

Too bad they used cheap plastic on the ends of the cables for the rear windows. That's usually what breaks first and it's virtually impossible to reattach. The dealer sells only the whole assembly with motor and regulator frame for somewhere in the neighborhood of $400. Super glue on the top edge of the back windows works well.
