M119 starter
Any chance the M119 starter can be replaced with either an M103 or alloy M117 starter, both of which I just happen to have handy?

A late M117 Bosch starter (such as for a 5.6 liter engine) is interchangeable with an M119 starter, and vice versa.
You can get a rebuilt OE starter from a place like Autoha us AZ dot-com for around $170 after core charge, which isn't a bad deal. Comes with a new solenoid too !! Cheers, Gerry

Gerry, that's good news, as in I have one of those. Bad news of course is that the 560 it is bolted to in the garage will miss it some day. Hanno has a 400e starter for a reasonable price, so I'll get that and be covered.
