What's it worth? 89 300E
Wife was rear ended at a stop sign. No braking, skidding, just impact. Hit the right side of the tail light/fender area and crumpled the right rear fender to the fuel filler. Car is 89 with 170K and was well enjoyed. Looks like the car will be totaled. Have not seen a body shop for estimate yet due to bumper rubbing against tire..
I fear the worst. No way an insurance company will replace what the car was worth to me. That's before personal injuries. Anyone know what the car is worth? Everything in good condition and worked well and I just recently got new tires for it too. Thanks. |

OF course look in the Kelly black or blue book...
I would think at least $2500

Most insurance companies would consider an '89 a classic. A friends '92 Jetta was recently totaled and the insurance company used NADA and considered it a classic due to being 20 years old.
NADA says your car is worth between $4000-$8000 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300E 300e 4 Door Sedan Prices, Values & Specs - NADAguides Stick to your guns to get what you feel your car is worth and for a dollar amount that will get you something similar if you choose. also, if you have somewhere to put the car, you could buy it back for a small amount and part it out. |
