93 300se

hi i have a 93 300se that i had just bought and have one problem with the trans that is it is taking to long to shift from 1-2. the rpm goes up to 3500 or 4000 depending how hard i push on the pedle. when shifting through other gears it is smoth.b2 piston is new and the governer is new also. any idea on what is going on and what i should do.

bowden cable adjustment?

i have tried adjusting it from the top and didnt feel different but just to make sure how do i adjust from the top and on the bottem part of the cable

i have turned the bowden cable clockwise all the way and got no change it is still shifting late goes up to 3000 or 4000 i also noticed when it is past the shift point it will start making a loud whining noise
