W140 rear shock sagging

My neighbor has a 97 S500 that is sagging on one side,in the rear, after sitting for a couple of hours.I dont remember the details on the hydraulic shocks, after selling my car, years ago...the ride is not bouncy on his car, once you start the car,it will raise to the proper level, right away, however, will not hold the same height on both sides, after sitting for several hours.I belive one of the accumulators is going bad...there are no leaks,so,shocks should be good if the ride is not bouncy...or maybe I am wrong?,any input will be helpful, thanks.
