Hi Guys
You maybe able to help I have taken many rear axles / diff's apart is it me or is Merc just winding me up?? How the hell do you remove the diff gears from the casing?? It drive nuts. So if any one can help me remove the diff from the casing I would be very great full Regards Paul |

There a few variations but on yours I believe that you rotate the carrier to access the c-clips that release the axle stubs and then there are large snap rings that hold the bearings under the output seals. With the side bearings out it should have enough clearance to pull the carrier out.
If that doesn't make sense and help then post a few pics of what you've got to make sure this is correct for your diff.
