Glad to see that my evil actuator has been able to serve the interests of science!

Has anyone gotten their actuator further apart than JamesDean?

I pulled my actuator apart after experiencing no continuity between pins 4-5 and no motor action.

Chasing the circuit with my meter revealed that the wire to one of the brush holders from the PC board has broken loose. The motor is a permanent magnet type so there are no field windings. Pins 4 and 5 connect directly to the brushes.

Unfortunately I cannot see how to remove the armature, or how to remove the solenoid and PC board, so I can attempt to re-solder the motor lead.

Anyone? Army?

Here is another update.

A customer had sent in a amplifier and actuator for repair and testing.

The actuator passed all my electrical tests however when I ran it up, it jumped all around.

I was able to repair it using spare parts. Here is the results:

Hey!! I'm still in the game. Happy to help. Whats going on with your system?

Might be easier to drop me an email. I am kinda running behind on them so if you have already I do apologize.
