1994 Mercedes E320 (Location of the blower motor resistor)
Good afternoon everyone,
I recently purchased a 1994 Mercedes E320 with 149.000 miles on it. The Blower motor was not working, so I purchased a replacement from the local bone yard. The replacement motor is now running, but it is only operating at one speed. I need to locate the blower motor resistor. Can anyone tell me its location and/ or provide a picture. Is it hard to replace? Any other things I should be aware of while looking? Any assistance would be helpful.... Thanks Ron

its very different on a late W124, you should have got it from the same boneyard.

No the resistor was already gone. The blower motor was simply sitting on top of the engine bay. I guessed that the previous person pulled the motor to get the resistor.
Do you know if the resistor is compatible off any other model 124. The blower motor and squirrel cage was only compatible with another 94 E320 model. Ron

all W124s with dust filters on the blower system would have a compatible resistor.
namely they are 94-95 E300D E320 E420 E500 The resistor is not the usual porcupine thing
