190e 2.6 distributor cap?
I want to replace my cap and rotor before my smog test... what the heck is the trick with that lower Allen bolt? My left arm is all bruised and bloody from trying to squeeze down below the cap to get the allen wrench on.
Any tips are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Lift the fan shroud up and out of the way.
The fan itself has staggered blade segments. There is a wider gap between some of the blades. This job is a P.I.T.A. on a W124. The 190e 2.6 is worse. |

I just resent changed the distributor cap on my 300E, what help me.. like Ivanerrol said: the fan blades are staggered, and I got a 1/4 in socket drive with a 3" extension with the right fitting driver bit head... the 3" extension was plenty to reach the bottom bolt, but just short of the 1/4 socket drive from getting into the radiator...made changing a snap
