Jet-Hot Coating on Exhaust/Intake Manifolds

Hello,

I am looking into putting on some Jet-Hot ceramic coating done on my M103 exhaust manifold and I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with their product? I am open to alternative suggestions as well.

Another question I had is whether or not it would be worth while to do the same to the intake manifold?

Goals are for thermal insulation and looks .

You're on the right track John. Ceramic Coating the Exhaust will reduce the heat escaping the manifold. Ceramic Coating the intake will reduce the under hood heat from further heating the intake air.

As for us, we offer High Temp Ceramic Coating and Powder Coating as well as Piston Coatings and various other specialty engine coatings. CCPcoatings.com has been Ceramic Coating and Powder Coating for over 15 years. We've won numerous coating awards and have been featured on Discovery Channels Biker Build Off.

We offer about 8 different colors of Ceramic Coating. All but the bright ceramic is good for 2000F +. We also offer discounts for Forum members and car clubs.

Below are a few samples of some similar cast manifolds

Thanks

I just had my 617.951 manifolds done in Ceramic coating. I would do both for sure, mostly because it will help with keep the heat transfer to a minimum. Here is what they look like. I had them done locally to me for $65 each. Heck of a deal considering what others charge.

I had the exhaust manifold done by Jet-Hot coatings when the head was refinished several years ago.

Lasted about two years and the coating failed. The rust has now begun anew.

I would not waste one dime on Jet-Hot. Poor product that doesn't stand up.

Ask any of them if they warrant the coating for 10 years in service. They'll all laugh so hard they fall over.

I would go with these guys:

Caps Brite Hot Coatings | Powder Coatings, Ceramic Coatings, Cermakrome, And More

I was at a Good-Guys Street Rod show in Plesanton, Ca. yesterday and talking to one of the owners. they have been in business over 22 years. actually a family business.

I have been going to have the Vc and manifolds done for quite a while, just need to send them in. also thought about ordering a new Down Pipe and having it done too.

This may be where W123LOVE had his done?

I have not heard good things about Jet-Hot from experienced engine rebuilders. But like I said I have had great luck with 20K miles on my PolyDyn manifolds...
