1992 300 e 2.6 bypass heater hose

Is there a simple way to replace that maybe I'm missing? Looks like I have to pull the water pump.

I mean the small hose between the block and thermostat housing . Mine split in half.

Fully remove clamps, cut the old hose off and slip the small end of the new hose on then slide it over the larger nipple. It will fit between the gap just takes a little effort.
