E320 ETS gremlim
I have a 1998 E320 which had been garaged for several months over the winter. When I started it up today (after making sure the battery (almost new) was charged up, again I let it idle for about five minutes to let all the fluids get back in circulation. The idle started a bit low (about 800 and then rose to about 1200 or so, but ran smoothly. Just before I was preparing to put it in gear, the 'check engine' light came on and the display read 'ETS - engine electronics'. The car stuttered for a moment or two and then died, and would not restart. I wasn't moving at the time. Any ideas?
