Two quick questions
Hello everyone,
Two questions for a 1987 300E M103 engine: 1. My valve cover gasket is leaking, what is the correct torque for the valve cover bolts? 2. I have tested and determined that the auxiliary fan switch (green 3-pole) in the cylinder head has failed. Is there any sealant I should put on the threads such as teflon tape? The new one didn't come with an o-ring or anything. Also how much should I tighten it? Thanks much! -Chris

The 8MM thread size nuts take about 8 ftlbs of torque.
The engine temp switch should have a crush washer & need no further sealant.
