Help Needed : How to fix popped CCU button

Hello All,
One day I noticed one of CCU button (Auto) popped of.

Now without that in place I can not select Low or High fan speeds.

It had 2 pieces that I retrieve. Spring and one white square pin which keeps spring compressed.
I tried opening ccu but don't see how to get to these button assembly.
Don't want to force and completely ruin the unit.

I show Kris(jamesdeen) pull apart this unit but don't see steps to do that.

Reason I want it fixed:
This is stock unit that came with car and is working perfectly.
I have replaced it with jy pick and that one is also working but I am feeling it results in less cooled air then my stock unit.
I replaced in winter and even at that time i felt it. So want to fix stock one and put it back and keep jy one for rainy day.

LOOK carefully

At what remains of the "Broken" Switch.
Is the Whole Push-button removed?
or the Center portion broken with the remainder left around the outer edges?

Damn FSM takes so long to find what you want I just took the "Z" wood cover
off my CCU unit and "Inspected" the push-button in question.

Three parts we would be messing with:
1.The Push-button "Cover" itself. It just "Pulls" off the stalk behind it.
I used a set of needle nose whose business end ("Gripping") I had coated in
rubber for another Electrical project a few years ago.[Marine]
If you've got a REALLY firm grip with your fingers you may be able to pull it off
that way.Be careful not to crush the push-button cover in your haste.
2.I've got a Pink/Red-ish Square Stalk that the cover "Snicks" onto.
That also secures the spring UNDERNEATH IT.
3.The Spring itself.

I can't "See" my spring,since it's still secured underneath #2.

In your picture I "See" a White plastic stalk. Is your spring secured underneath it?If not, you're missing the part #2

Again check to make sure ALL of the "Cover" is removed before you try to
"Push" the New cover onto the "Stalk" that secures the spring.

Note there's a little clear plastico window in the driver's side of the switch
cover that allows illumination into the "Cover" from the center of the CCU.
So make sure that that side of the cover is facing towards the center of the CCU unit.
