Eric,
Welcome to the forum! I'm not entirely sure about the 129s but they most likely have a vacuum system that runs vacuum pods that open/close vent dampers. So its possible that your center vent pod has failed.

Is it that the remote doesn't transmit, or that the locks don't all go up/down when the driver's door goes? it sounds like your PSE module may have failed. That's what controls all of the vacuum driven functions in the car/

I hope that you got the owners manual with the car. The A/C vents and controls are very complicated. The front center vents are controlled by the small buttons with the red and blue lamps as well as the all those up and down arrows on the HVAC panel. You need to study the owners manual. The locking system is run by a vacuum pump in the trunk on the right side. Cheek fuse #6 in the trunk fuse panel (upper right side.) It is for the locking system.
