2002 CLK 320, xenon hid coversion

Hey guys I have a quick question...I have a 2002 CLK 320, and it only has the halogen type headlights. I was wondering can I change the whole headlight unit with a HID headlight unit? Is there any thing else involved? Wiring, computer alterations? Any help is appreciated.

Try www.HID4less.com. I beleive the price for your model is $550.00 for stage 1 or $750.00 for stage 2 conversion.

HID

I didn't want an aftermarket kit, I was thinking of putting the OE HID of another clk320/CLK430...could it be possible or would I have to alter the computer or wiring

The factory setup has HRA (Headlamp Range Adjustment) which keeps the headlamps pointed a specific distance in front of the car, even when hitting dips and potholes, or when braking or accelarating, as examples. There is a seperate HRA computer, and also front and rear level sensors, the computer output is to range adjustment motors in the headlamp. If someone was desperate enough to want the factory lamps, I suppose one could install them and run the motors until a proper fixed adjustment was achieved. I am unsure how much wiring would need to be changed for the Xenon HID transformer to run the bulbs themselves, that may be codt-prohibitive as well.
