What's a good running 300E (2.6L) worth?
I'm looking to buy an older gentlemen's Mercedes by Spring MAYBE... It's a 90-91 260E with the 300E badging.
what's it worth anyway in good running shape? I've seen the car around town and it looks to be excellent shape now knowing running condition. Which doesn't even matter to me.

If you can find one with a five speed manual, it would be a real jewel.

For a typical car with 150K-175K in generally good condition but needing some repairs, perhaps $2K. I sold my '93 with 160-someting-K a year ago for $1500. I had a half dozen buyers rushing over to be the first to claim it. The car was very clean and ran well, but it leaked ac refrigerant and the head gasket was starting to seep. Disclosing these didn't seem to phase them, though it probably should have...
