Door Check Strap Replacement - Help Please
Ok my drivers side door check strap decided it didnt want to be attached anymore and snapped off. So the one side is loose inside the door. How involved is the replacement, and it seems that the OEM part is painted in body color. Does it really matter if the replacement part is painted or not?
Also anyone with a parts manual able to find a part number for a 96 c220 door check strap. Best wishes and take care, George Androulakis |

George - take a look at the article in the diy'er section. Pretty straight forward for a diyer. No, you do not have to paint it to match if you don't want to.
