power window trouble shoot
i have a 1983 300d greymarket w/ electric front windows. when i was working on the speedometer i shorted out the clock fuse. when i got everything back together the drivers window will not work. the passenger window has not worked since purchased 2 months ago. the drivers window is in the down position. i get power to the terminal block before the motor. when i hit the switch the voltage will drop off on one or the other side of the terminal, but there is no action from the motor

THERE WERE NO DIRECT REPLIES TO THIS POST, BUT UPON REVIEWING OTHER POSTS, I FOUND THE ANSWER TO MY TROUBLES. I PULLED MY FUSES AND CLEANED THE CONTACTS, REPLACED THE FUSES. THIS GOT MY DRIVERS WINDOW WORKING. I THEN PULLED APART MY SWITCHES AND CLEANED THEM OUT AND CLEANED THE CONTACTS. NOW BOTH OF THE WINDOWS ARE WORKING. JUST IN TIME FOR THE 1ST DAY OF SPRING AND SNOW!!! THANKS FOR THE THREAD THAT POINTED TO THE SOLUTION
