Looks OK on the AC work, you didn't mention the cruise work. I think I need to see page 2, not seeing the heater diagnosis. Does my comment make sense to you about doing the AC work now and the heater work later, or isn't the heater a concern at all in California? It is in Wisconsin!

I don't know if you just have a lot smaller budget than $1000?? You can price it out I guess if you think this is too high, seems reasonable to me, the dealer would probably be $500 higher than that I would guess.

Well your correct about saying that "AC" is needed in CA at this time, (Heat is not a much concern at this time, considering the current weather.) But it is when it's cold outside at night, which is why I was concerned about both.

I do have another car with working AC and Heat which I do drive most of the time. (1996 Chevy Beretta.)

But It's not that it's my limit, it's just other issue's in the way , really I didn't want to purchase the benz at the time.. the seller who I bought it from had it for $1500 at 1st. (remember the body was damaged..) I ended up leaving with it for $700 I did have to pay for the tags which was not much, I did put money into it so far already.. But I guess I was thinking of trying to get a new car... but I don't know.. I was looking at Dodge Avenger or Dodge Dart... but not that I don't like my Beretta or Benz..

I guess it all depends if the benz will work out... after the paint and work is all done...maybe then I would appreciate it more then I already do now..

Well the C230 is one of my favorite MB's except of course for the more exotic types, SLs and like that, for a 4 door car I really like the C230 before they supercharged it, like yours.
You don't say what they want to just repair the heater, or at least not showing the invoice for it (page 2).
You can just keep driving the Chevy for now and repair the heater later and drive the MB when the weather isn't so hot.
You could repair everything and try to sell it at a profit?
Hard to tell where to go next, if you can't fix it yourself.

There was nothing on page 2.

Sorry it's been awhile since I wrote anything here..

I have dropped the car off at the benz shop today.

Worried about it..

Here is some pictures of the car how it currently looks.

Thank You. Hoping that it will be fixed and working...

Well here are the results!

My thoughts was correct on everything with the parts.

1. DUO VALVE
2. EXPANSION VALVE
3. AUX WATER PUMP

The shop did this very quickly, the cost of it was $476 but lowered it to $450 evenly with my own parts, Altho after bringing the car home, it started leaking coolant (this was actually a result of the previous work done by other shop, when the AC SWITCH SENSOR was installed there was no seal in there.) So took it back and they charged $60 to fix the seal and replace the coolant/freon lost, so $510 for it all..

So end results is the A/C and HEAT now works perfectly.

Altho there is one more odd issue I have with the car in terms of engine work.

This car will take me anywhere perfectly fine, sometimes when turning it off then coming back to the car to start it, it wont start the 1st time.. I have to take the key out then back in take out back in then keep trying then it will start..

Before I did order a brand new starter, cam shaft, and crank shaft.

The battery is also brand new and I even replaced it once for a new one under the warranty.

I was assuming the "alternator"?? but I have no idea...

Anyway "Gilly" so far so good with the A/C and everything so thank you for the help along the way.

(Need a new "Viper 479V Replacement Remote", it was on the car when I purchased it, but its damaged still working tho.)

Also need a new shift knob, I tried to find a simple one but idk.. (It's automatic by the way)

Then to find a auto body shop for the repairs on that area..

The ignition switch can cause problems with these models, without being able to test, that would be my first guess.
