1981 250 Limo Emissions
Hi, I recently saw an ad in a local newspaper for a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 250 Limo. I went to look at it (the owner wasn't there at the time, so I only got to look and not drive). The car looked like it was in pretty good shape (a couple rust spots, but no holes or anything). According to the owner, it runs fine.
However, there was a big read "FAIL" sticker for emissions The engine is a 2.5 liter carbed 6 (most of you experts already figured that out). He said after it failed, you had a new carb put in there, but it has not been retested. Can you guys think of any way to help ensure that it passes emissions inspection? I live in Connecticut, if that makes any differenence. Thanks a lot! |

Can't you just have it inspected before you buy it? Or are you bringing it to another state?
That M123 is a really rare bird in the US. Sixto 91 300SE 81 300SD |
