ml430 yaw replacemnet problems

i have a 2001 ml430 and replace the yaw acceleration sensor and the later acceleration sensor. my vehicle would not allow me to drive without the automatic braking system engaging and braking the vehicle without warning. I needed to get the car home so I called around and was advised to turn off the ESP and put the vehicle in low range in order to get it off the road. I did so and had it towed to my home. I replaced both sensors stated above. once I cranked the car the low range light stays on and does not go out and the vehicle will not shift out of either 1st or 2nd gear. I also tried driving and manually shifting but this does not work either. Pushing the low range button did nothing as well. Do I need to have the computer or trans reset? I disconnected both + and - cables for 15 minutes and still have the same problem. Can anyone help?
