Asian R-12 ?
Domestic R-12 even on ebay seems to be higher than gold for cost.
Asian R-12 appears to be pretty cheep but... am I buying problems from quality ?? Anyone try it and have any input ?

If the product is not for sale in a nationally known auto parts store like NAPA, then I would question if it in fact is really R-12 or is something else like propane.
Alarm bells go off when I see something for sale on EBay which is not sold in main stream stores! (Why not?)

There are devices that exist to determine what refrigerant(s) are present in a sample, which exist for businesses buying questionable gasses for processing, but this may be out of your price range. Look locally, you might find that craig has a good list for this, but you may have to be persistant, and keep looking for a while.
For a personal vehicle, your best bet is to find unopened canisters. It can be an inconvenience to have that 30# around and know you'll only use 10% or less. If you do this as a business, then you should not need ebay. There are companies which reprocess the refrigerant, mostly extracted from large commercial cooler systems, and resell it. As more r-12 systems are removed from service, this will become even more affordable.

This would only be for use in my MB's.
Ive been looking for awhile. No use at all for a 30# at $600
