Questions about buying r12 refrigerant

I just bought a 30# bottle of r12 refrigerant for a whopping price of $30

I would guess that it is about 80% full, give or take. It is in the non-refillable-disposable bottle.

I did an acid test and it came out clean, but my question is; Is it true that these disposable type bottles have a one-way valve in it?

If it does, then I know the stuff is pure. If not, is there any way I can test purity?

find a shop with a tester. they should all have them to prevent cross-contamination. no r22, 410a, butane, propane, etc. neutronics makes them and snapon and a couple others sell them. viper has a couple recovery machines with identifiers on them. good luck, chuck.
