Thermo vacuum switch slant full vac?

Could be that whoever plumbe the line put it on the wrong side of the valve. One connector is straight and the other is slanted. they are that way for a reason, to tell which side gets connected to full time vacuum. As I recall the slanted connector is connected to the full time vacuum line and the other is controled by the valve. Is this your EGR tempo valve?

Theres that great diagram again, slant is on left inn diagram so it appears egr goes on temp controlled side
I'll have to check mine but it may be switched...

I'll do it if its the case just need to be careful as it could break as the other one did & I had to have that one replaced. This one is the old one that goes to egr & throttle .
It appears on is slant & one is straight but it could easily be reversed if it got screwed in opposite.
So standard straight is full vac generally on right???
Ok need to switch egr port.
Least I have something to work with & hope it make is run better.

Do these things go bad?
The one on the outer side is new but the one e the egr is old & I told my mech to change those black vacs but I don't think he did...They look to be marked by me w aO that meant old so I'll have to replace those.
