Now I understand. My mechanic and I talk pricing all of the time. He works very hard and I try to support him best I can. I had a '91 190E also. Sold it to my granddaughter and she is driving the hell out of it. Holding up well except had to replace the catalytic muffler. I've only seen one other Mercedes with a stick shift. It was an '86 300E. I drove it and almost bought it. Then I started thinkng about HEAVY stop and go LA freeway traffic and changed my mind.
