WalMart Battery RIP 1997-2013
Got in the '86 420SEL last week and planned to drive it around some. Alas, no crank due to a low battery so I got the charger out and it started fine the next day after work. The next day, no crank again. Diagnosis: the old battery finally quit.
Proof that a WalMart battery can perform fine. It never leaked and the terminals never showed any corrosion. I bought another WalMart battery and she's back on duty.
