Did Firestone ruin my tie rods?

Hi all
Just got two new tires put on the front of my 85 380 and when I left I heard a noise, turned out the tire weight had torn open the rubber boot on my tie rods
Should I worry? Has this happened to any one? What should I do I only drove the car about 10 feet, then they rebalanced the tires and all seems cool now
Thanks
Kenny

Mechanic use wrong weights for the rim, now it's up to you but if was me I want them to replace the ruber boot if it's not avalable replace the tie road end and realign the car .
The purpase of the rubber boot it,s to keep the joint free of dust / dirt / wather if the boot is bustead the joint it's going to fail soon.
