I've had the good fortune to have driven quite a few 107's and even a manual W113. I recall being less than impressed. A 107 to me is like driving a 123 with a less rigid chassis from having its roof cut off. The 113 was better, but still not enough to make me understand the prices they go for. Also, petrol engine Mercedes are more trouble than they are worth in most cases (in my opinion). I'd rather drive a W123 turbo-diesel with a manual transmission. Good for me that I have one.

just keep in mind, the 110s are thirsty for both oil-they leak, and fuel. I have driven a 110 107 and thought it was what the car was supposed to be. not the marshmallow sprung v8s we got here. good luck, chuck.

The only reason the M110 leaks oil is because people are too lazy when changing the cam cover gasket, which has to be done every 12500 miles for valve adjustment. If you take the time to completely remove all the gasket crud that sticks to the cover and the edge of the cam carriage, you will have no leaks.
