1996 E320 W210 I Need Help!! Starting Problem
I have a 1996 Mercedes Benz e320. It has 180,000 miles on it. Here's my problem. I shut the car off at the gas station, filled up, went to start it and the ignition wouldn't crank the motor. Took it home. Jump the 12v+ lead to the thick purple starter wire and it cranks over. Battery is new. Fuel pump is good, newer filter, measured fuel rail and it's at 55psi. The key will randomly decide to crank the motor every once in a while. I don't have a rear view mirror to see if the red and green lights are flashing. The car will startup and run if I put gas directly into the throttle body. The injectors are not pulsing, all plugs and wires are good. Any ideas? It is getting spark to.
