My blinkers have slowly but surely been getting worse. The "blink" is not consistent... left or right or hazard lights. The flashes sometimes stick, and sometimes have seconds between the flashes.

I assume I need a new flasher relay? I believe this is also tied in with my intermittent wiper relay, which also acts up. I'll give it a whack and see if the blinking or wiper works properly... Might have to change this out, agreed?

There was no way I could resist that!! I looked in my CD for info on this but got bogged down with all that electrical stuff. It sounds as if you have one of the following to me, a worn out flasher, a bad ground or lamp out or incorrect wattage. I don't think the wiper is on the same circuit but knowing MB, it could be. General knowledge here for sure, but replace the flasher first. It usually doesn't cost much (at least on other makes anyway).

I too thought about my funny blinker fluid post when I added an update just this morning! I didn't think anyone else would remember!

Well I'm rather convinced that it's a combo relay (I have the part #) that operates the Intermittent Wiper (delay), Turn Signals/Hazard, and Rear Defrost, ALL OF WHICH are acting up!

The part is only $41 here @ Fastlane.

You might want to check the bulbs first. Being double filament bulbs if one of the two filaments is out it could be causing a bad ground or sending the incorrect feedback. If it works fine without the driving lights on but blinks double rate with the driving lights on then its most likely one filament is bad on the bulb. Its one of those things that it cant hurt to check it first instead of replacing the difficult thing first and working backwards to the easiest. I always find it a pain crawling under the vehicle to drain the blinker fluid so start with something easier first.

Brad; it's a lot easier to use your topsider to drain the blinker fluid. Just make sure it's warm when you do it!

But you still have to get under the car for the filter...
(should we stop rubbing it in yet?) :p

You're referring to the OVP filter. You know that there's no filter on the blinkers!! That's why you have to change it every 150,000 blinks!

i know it's friday and all but even i know that keeping a topsider warm is an old wives tale
