88 420sel Water Pump Removal
I'm in the process of removing the water pump and I'm having a tough time getting to the bolts near the distributor and the harmonic balancer. Have any of you done this before? Please let me know if there are any tricks. Thanks in advance.

I don't know whether this will help, but I coincidentally ran across a blower "how-to" article, recently. Try this web site: www.mercedesdot.com/newsletter/issue8.htm. I also have the CD service manual for my '88, 420 SEL. I'll take a look and if I can e-mail you the manual instructions, I will.

WOW! I better get a new set of glasses. I don't know how I miss-read your water pump question as a blower motor problem. Hope I didn't cause any inconvenience.

Thanks guys. I found a previous post that explained everything. I'm in the process of putting everything back on. I'll let you know the results.
