1991 190E under the hood
Hi All,
Can some tell me what is this part? It's leaking coolang at one of the four philips screw behind the unit. It attaches to the collant passage from the water pump and the goes into the bulk head I presume it goes into the heater valve. Thanks in advance Ariel |

Auxiliary coolant pump. Yes, the flow is towards the heater core.

Depends on where you are located you can just remove it. I think its purpose was to increase coolant flow to the heater core faster in cold climates. I removed mine

I'm sourcing out the part it's expensive. It's probably not a good idea to delete it. I'm in Chicago and gets pretty cold. Thanks for the help.
