190e Febi Ignition Tumbler Key Loud?

I installed it based on the pelican wiki. I had a toolset which included a tool for this that made it really pretty easy. It came as part of the SG Motorsports Dash,Ignition,Lock,Radio Key Removal Tool. The tweasers looking tool.

The key was difficult to insert at first. Very difficult. Almost like it had to be broken in. Now it goes in normally but makes a very loud thunk when I remove it. Is this all normal for this keyset?

The original tumbler had the steering lock extension piece broken off. I can't imagine it was working as intended.

my 95 E300D is like that too, its pretty loud as the steering lock snaps into place when the key is pulled out.

the tumbler is original MB and so is the key, I did recently clean it out with some lemon juice and then lubed it with beeswax (old MB mechanic told me this) - this mechanic used to work on pontons etc. So far the key has really smoothed out and it does not stain my clothes either.

He also told me to use AGS doorease on the interior parts and locks etc for squeaks and rattles, its the same product that MB sells in a jar. US lockease is 2 dollars, MB lockease is 80 dollars.
