96 E320.....Car idles high and low upon starting.....When stop at light takes a short time to build power for acceleration and sounds as if its backfiring... Then takes off. Any help would be beneificial....Thanks

fouled spark plugs, possibly leaking valve seals or ruptured transmission vacuum modulator diaphragm.

i have similar problem mine you can't push the gas pedal to hard,im replacing cranksensor,and cam sensor,as they can mess with the engines timing

I recently ran into a problem like this (I have a post on it as well). Long story short, I'm 99% sure it was bad Premium gas (also added some injector cleaner).
