Cabriolet light inside trunk wiring question

Hi...I had to remove all the liners in the trunk to get at the bumper bolts and in doing so had to remove the interior trunk light.
When I put it all back together there were three connectors that looked like they belonged to the trunk light light but for the life of me I can't figure out how they go together.
Two have the white plastic covers and they clearly go on the lights male spade connectors...but there is a third wire (black..same gauge) with a unprotected piggy back connector that seems to want to be there but I have no idea how to connect it to the light connectors.
I'm not even sure it belongs there but the "memory" in the wire seems to put it there.
Anybody with a Cabriolet E320 94/95 care to have a look at theirs and tell me if they too have three wires to that light.
If it does a picture would help.
If there are only the two wires with the plastic protectors...then does anyone know where this black piggy bag connectors belongs.
I've looked for a wiring diagram for the Cabriolet but no luck.
If anybody has one of those that would help too.

Thanks

One just piggy backs on the other so you have two wires on one of the male light connectors and a single wire one on the other.
