door pull handle snapped off!

Hello out there!
Simply, I got in and pulled my 2000 320CLK door handle to close the door and it snapped off at the top and arm rest. The whole assembly came off in my hand. I can snap the arm rest part beck in place but the top part is snapped off almost flush with the door panel. Can anyone give me a good fix...epoxy? And if so what kind? or replace the handle assembly with a used one and if so how hard is the assembly to remove and replace?
Thanks

After 15 years or so plastic gets pretty brittle. I've haven't removed a door panel on a CLK but most are about the same. A little lurking at CLK forums might help. I suggest removing the panel and see if the upper part is replaceable.

There are quite a few threads about removing door panels & that is definitely the route to go. Then it looks like you need to make a trip to your local PicknPull, salvage yard, etc., to see if you can find another handle. My kids were always pulling the handles off my 124's. I practiced door panel removal & handle replacement on a car that I could see was going to the crusher at the PNP yard in order to figure out how to do the task. That and some pointers from various MB websites & I bet you'll be reporting back that you fixed the handle.
