ASD fluid question
Hi, my hose which is between the ASD reservoir and the engine just got a puncture and spilled all of the fluid out. Can I drive the car without the ASD fluid ? Will it damage the differential ? I'm asking because I need to use the car in order to find a hose.

Your car doesn't have ASD. It has hydraulic rear suspension if it is the same as my 16v. You can drive it, but it could tear up the pump..Also, it will spill the rest of the fluid out because the bottle has a return from the pump.

Actualy it has ASD. I know this because I
changed my differential this monday. The old as well as the new diff have pipes from the haudraulic system connected to them (they are for the ASD). Also when I searched to buy a new diff I went to a mercedes shop where they looked at my old diff and confirmed that it had ASD (I check this because they offered me two diffs - one with ASD and the other without ASD). By the way my car is a 1992 euro model. Joreto 190e 2.5-16v |
