replacing ABS Control Unit

I'm about to replace the ABS Control Unit in my 1989 300E. I cannot find any videos or instructions showing if the battery (and maybe other) needs to be removed or can ,it be done without removing anything. Anyone have the procedure who has replaced their ABS Control Unit? Many thanks!

Can't see where it would be real complicated on that model. Just disconnect the negative battery cable and swap it out then bleed the brakes.
