1982 Euro W123 window wiring issues

Hello:

I have a 1982 280TE (Euro, obviously) and am having issues with my window switches and need to find a wiring diagram.

My car, like a lot of euro W123 cars, has electric windows only in the front. All of the wiring diagrams I've been able to find show what looks like the typical US W123 wiring, with wiring to the four switches in the center console.

My windows were working OK until I pulled apart the center console to rebuild my shift linkage. When I put it all back together, I tried some new switches I had sourced, and they worked briefly and then didn't. I reinstalled the old switches and they too worked briefly. Now neither works.

I cannot hear the motors in the doors when the switches are depressed. I also checked the fuses and all seem ok. Are there relays behind the gauges? Could I have blown one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(The shift linkage works great, so at least I'm batting 50%.)

J
