m104 stumbling, hesitating

Hello, I have a 1995 w210 E320 with the m104 engine, and I have been having some troubles lately. When the engine is restarted when hot, the idle will drop low and it will begin to misfire. When accelerating, there is a hesitation delay of about 1 second from idle before the engine will respond. Also, when cruising along at about 30-40 mph, the rpms will begin to bounce between 1000 and 1200 rpm when the accelerator is released. This bouncing is very rapid. The vacuum system seems to be in decent condition. Possibly the fuel pressure regulator? The car has about 200,000 miles on it.
Any help would be appreciated.
