s430 battery type w220 2000
I need to replace the battery on my s430 2000 w220, the oem battery has # (000,000,002,697) in german (Kaltstarstrom 450A, Kapazital 100Amp 12V) I think it means CCA at 450A, am I wrong? I think this car needs like 700-900cca.
Sears, interstate if I match it they come from 750-900cca, does anyone knows how much CCA does the car need to be. I want to put what the car requires without spending $400 at the dealer, I also have a system (2x12" subs) so I want to put a healthy battery, any ideas, pls help thank you agmexdf@yahoo.com |

Just put the biggest Interstate battery that is for the application and you should be fine.

That's what it says, CCA 450A. Not sure what your car requires.

that is pretty low CCA, thats the original battery??? . Even the battery in an old W124 E320 has higher CCA, Your model car needs an H8 battery which is between 700-950 CCA and has an RC of 100 amps.

Actually you can see the numbers here (this is the updated part number A005 541 10 01), and it is 850AH:
