Early Model Mechanics in DC/MD area?

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the US DC/MD area for my 74 230/4?

Thanks,

You might find it strange that a guy from Texas would recommend a mechanic in Maryland, but on other boards, I've read all sorts of praise about the following place. Wish he was down here.

I've been very happy with Mitch Carr's Professional Auto Service on Howard Avenue in Kensington, Maryland. I don't have the phone number available at this moment, but I can get it for you later. They did the pre-purchase inspection of my 300D, the 90K service for that car, and have been very pleasant and forthcoming regarding my many technical inquiries.

Good luck,
Dan

That phone number for Mitch Carr's is:
301/493-9460

When I take my 124 and 202 to Don Pool, it feels like visiting a vintage MB showroom. I highly recommend that you call and talk with Chuck or Mr. Pool. In Arlington, Virginia 703-534-4222.
