1998 e320 trans question

the last few weeks the car feels like it is trying to go between gears when at a constant speed (35 to 45) any thoughts on what might cause this. the fluid is MB and at the proper level. also its time to change the fluid (its been 30,000) and I remember people talking about a part to change when doing the fluid and filter change. Ant help and suggestions would be great. Thanks Dan

The transmission on my '99 is fully electronic and I think yours might be too - meaning there are 5 solenoids on the conductor plate in the transmission that can fail or act funny. Somewhere out there is a Youtube video of a guy taking a MB conductor plate apart and replacing the solenoids. My car has the tendency to not want to shift into 2nd gear from a standing start sometimes but just pulling over to a complete stop and shift to park then back to D and it fixes itself....for now.
