E420 Base Module interchangable

I have 2 extra Base Modules (N16/1) on hand and I recently purchase another one. However, the recent (N16/1) I just purchase is for a W140 S420/S500 and this was a mistake on my behalf due to me not paying attention. The mb part# is 014 545 36 32 on the recent purchase module.

I would like to know if this module can be used on W124 E420 since both Chassis have V-8 engines?

This module was only used on W140 S420 and S500 and is not useable on anything else.

Thank you Daddi.

Everywhere that I have searched online suggested that the module was only used in the W140; however, I was not sure if I could use the module for my vehicle application.

Well I guess I'm stuck with it for now

I now have more information that has provided me with a greater understanding of why the Base Module (N16/1) I recently purchase can not be used for my W124 E420. The BM (N16/1) all look the same, but they have prongs for different applications in the vehicle. The BM (16/1) is used in W124, W129 and W140; however, the BM (16/1) are all design to function specifically for the vehicle body it was design for. BM can not be interchangeable among models.

Here is some information about the BM and the difference in the functions of the wiring. I hope this will be a help to some of the members.
