W124 instrument warning panel
A few years back I sent in my cluster from my 300CE in to get the odometer repaired. I also had them replace the warning bulb panel in the lower part of the cluster because the high beam section was faded out and no longer blue. Unfortunately I realized later that they had replaced it was a US part which reads BRAKE instead of the Canadian/international symbol for parking brake applied. Call me a stickler to detail but I would like to replace it back to the way it was. Does anyone know if this part can be replaced from the cluster without getting a whole new shroud?

I can't answer your specific question but I can say that would really have pissed me off as well. Did you make a complaint soon after getting it back from the offender? Probably too late to do so now.
It's been a handful of years ago, but when I had my W123 diesel, I replaced the instrument cluster with one I bought off eBay from a guy in Great Britain somewhere, Wales or Scotland I think it was. Seems I got it for less than $30 and it was in very good condition. Wasn't a difficult project, just take a bit of patience getting it pulled out. Good luck.

No I didn't decide to send it back since I live in Canada and shipping it back would have been costly. I can probably source a Canadian cluster from any W124 and take it apart to see if I can change out the warning bulb display.

Found these for sale on ebay, granted they are for US market cars but it looks like they can be removed from the cluster shroud.
