AT Filter Kit for 1994 C280, which one?
I'm looking in the FastLane and I don't know which one to get. How do I know which kit to order? It's an Automatic, but all of the parts say they are for an AT.
Trans. 722.424 Trans: 722.606 Trans: 722.629 Thanks.

How?
How did you know that? Is this from experience or did you look in a book or someplace on the web?
Thanks for the info!

Experience... it's quite simple..
(The C-classes) from 94-96 had the 4 speed automatic, which is the 722.4 transmission. The 97 + had the 5 speed auto, 722.6.

Ahh, I see. Thanks. So, the 97+ models have an "overdrive" so to speak? I wonder what RPM's 70-75mph is with that "extra" gear.
Thanks again.

So to speak... but actually, in the C-class (for sure), the RPMs are still high on the HWY. I have a friend with a 99 C230k, and her RPMs match mine identically.
I have driven a friends 97 C230 many times... and 1st gear seems to be the same, as does our 4th gear, and their 5th gear. In other words, the 2nd and 3rd gears in our cars, are more or less the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears in her car.
