03 C240 Base
The blower fan for the climate control failed. Hope springs eternal and I pulled the fuse whist the engine was running. The fuse was good the blower was dead. as soon as I pulled the fuse the ABS, BAS, one other default light began to flash in the service warning window. Reflashing the ECM has not helped. Anyone know what to do?

Welcome to the Peach Parts forum. Please introduce yourself! Who are you? Where are you from? Tell us about your car. How long have you had it? Post a photo of it. We love pictures!
Use the search feature to see if someone else already asked that question. If the topic has been discussed 10,000 times, the members may get tired of saying the same thing again. No one here gets paid to dispense advice. We are usually friendly and willing to help. Filling out your profile, introducing yourself, etc. is a way of being friendly toward the Peaches on the forum. I would not pull fuses while the car is running. They make a tool with one pointy metal end and a wire on the other end to check for continuity. If you touch both sides of the fuse and the tools likes up, the fuse is good. The brakelight switch failure is a common cause of ABS BAS to come on (My idea of flashing is a constant on/off cycle, are you sure it is flashing? Or just came on?), there are probably other causes. Your local auto parts store can probably read the fault codes and tell you why the warning lights are lit. The other thing we like is when someone who asked a question comes back and posts the resolution. Did you get the issue fixed? What did you learn that might help someone else? Best regards, Jeffrey

Have you pulled the blower out and actually tested/checked the motor? They do wear out....in the C-class they are on pretty much all the time at at least a medium-low speed usually....so 12 years of that will indeed wear it out.
Its behind the glove box/passenger foot well cover in the W203....you can see a portion of it under the hood if you take the air filter housing above the battery out, could turn it by hand and see if it moves freely.
